The Role:
We're currently seeking a skilled and motivated Precision Machinist to join our team. This hands-on role involves operating and programming grinding, EDM (die-sink), and wirecutting machines to produce high-tolerance components from both hardened and soft materials.

This position would suit someone with a toolmaking background who enjoys working on intricate and varied jobs, with a strong attention to detail and an appreciation for precision work.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate surface, cylindrical, and tool grinders for precision finishing.

Set up and run EDM (die-sinking) machines for detailed cavities and complex forms.

Program and operate wire EDM machines for precision 2D profile cutting.

Interpret technical drawings, CAD models, and job instructions.

Inspect parts using micrometres, gauges, and other precision measuring tools.

Perform basic machine maintenance and uphold workshop safety standards.

Collaborate with the production team to ensure jobs are completed to spec and on time.

What You'll Need:

Experience operating and setting up grinders, EDM, and/or wirecut machines.

Strong understanding of precision machining and high-tolerance requirements.

Toolmaking trade background or equivalent hands-on experience (preferred).

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and follow process instructions.

Familiarity with machining hardened tool steels and other alloys.

Attention to detail, reliability, and a commitment to quality.

Must have unrestricted working rights in Australia
