About the Role
We’re seeking an Asset Risk & Performance Manager with deep expertise in lifecycle asset planning, FMECA-based analysis, and risk-based investment forecasting. This is a strategic leadership role responsible for optimising asset performance through data-driven methodologies, long-term planning, and cross-functional collaboration.
✅ Asset Strategy & Lifecycle Leadership – Guide the development of whole-of-life asset strategies using advanced risk quantification and condition monitoring tools.
✅ Risk & Performance Forecasting – Lead the creation of models to evaluate asset condition, prioritise investments, and manage reliability across the network.
✅ Standards & Compliance Oversight – Maintain and evolve preventative maintenance and vegetation management standards aligned with business and regulatory needs.
✅ Stakeholder Engagement & Leadership – Work closely with Engineering, Operations, OEMs, and Digital teams to align asset strategies with performance and risk priorities.
✅ Industry Representation – Represent the organisation on industry forums, shaping technical standards and fostering best practice knowledge exchange.
This is a high-impact opportunity to lead one of the most critical portfolios within the business, delivering improved safety, reduced risk, and enhanced asset performance across a dynamic operating environment.
Salary Banding: $170,000 – $200,000
We offer a competitive package and will consider your expectations based on seniority and experience.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Degree in Engineering or related technical field
10+ years’ experience in asset management, risk forecasting, or performance optimisation
Expertise in FMECA, asset condition monitoring, and whole-of-life cost modelling
Strong understanding of ISO 55001 and long-term asset planning principles
Proven leadership in cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement
Highly Regarded Qualifications
✔️ Postgraduate studies in Asset Management, Risk Engineering, or Business Analytics
✔️ Familiarity with SCADA, GIS, and IoT systems for asset condition tracking
✔️ Experience within DNSPs or utilities with regulatory and investment planning exposure
