As a Housing Officer with Vinnies Housing, you’ll work from our Toowoomba based office and be part of a supportive, state-wide team delivering compassionate housing services to people in need. What you’ll do:

• Ensure tenancy and property compliance in line with relevant policies and legislation

No experience? No problem, if you are interested in Community housing, we will provide you with all the training, skills, and tools you need to succeed. What we are looking for is empathy, reliability, and a genuine desire to help others.

This role includes regular day travel to Warwick, Stanthorpe, Dalby, and Chinchilla - as well as overnight travel to Roma approximately six times per year.

This is a Permanent, Full-time position (38 hours per week) based in Toowoomba but with regional travel. There will be a vehicle provided for all work travel, and an option to package a vehicle.

What we are looking for:

• A genuine passion for helping people and building stronger communities
• Life experience, emotional intelligence, and the ability to work respectfully with diverse individuals
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Confidence using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
• A commitment to learning, teamwork, and continuous improvement
• Alignment with the mission and values of the St Vincent de Paul Society Queensland

What we can offer you at Vinnies Housing

• Full training and ongoing support — no experience needed
• Small, manageable portfolio = more impact, less stress
• Supportive, values-based team environment
• A meaningful opportunity to create lasting social impact

Ready to apply? We’d love to hear from you. Submit your application today via SEEK or directly on our careers page!

Having the right people in our team is important to us. Before joining our team, we’ll undertake pre-employment checks including references, a police check, and proof of qualifications/licenses.
