We are looking for a Retail Sales Assistant to help customers identify and purchase products they desire. Retail Sales Assistant duties include selling, restocking and merchandising. The goal is to provide high class customer service and to increase company’s growth and revenue through sales maximisation.

Responsibilities

Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service

Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards

Maintain a fully stocked store

Ascertain customers’ needs and wants

Recommend and display items that match customer needs

Welcome and greet customers

Manage point-of-sale processes

Actively be involved in receiving new shipments and deliveries

Keep up to date with product information

Providing accurate information (e.g. product features, pricing and after-sales services)

Answering customers’ questions about specific products/services

Follow all companies policies and procedures

Taking customer phone calls and replying to emails

Computer knowledge, data input when required

Communicate information to other members of the retail team

Inform customers about discounts and special offers

Provide customer feedback to the Store Manager

Participate in stock take as required

Ensure faulty/damaged stock is actioned

Requirements

Proven working experience in retail sales

Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices

Proficiency in English

Solid communication and interpersonal skills

Customer service focus

Friendly, helpful, confident and engaging personality

Basic administration skills

Problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
