At Lives Lived Well, we’re offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated Assistant Finance Officer to join our team and grow your skills while making a real difference in the community.
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Assistant Finance Officer to join our Finance team. In this role, you’ll support a range of financial, accounting, and payroll functions under the guidance of the finance team. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring compliance with accounting standards and supporting the team to manage financial operations, including reconciliations, invoicing, and financial reporting. This role supports the broader finance team and reports directly to the Head of Finance.
This is a full-time, 12-month maximum term contract based at our Bowen Hills office, with the possibility of extension.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare and process invoices, payments, and reconciliations
- Assist with general ledger maintenance and month-end journals
- Support payroll processing and salary packaging
- Prepare Business Activity Statements (BAS)
- Maintain accurate financial records and provide support across the finance team
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external providers
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or finance
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role
- Strong data processing and reconciliation skills
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Queensland Driver’s Licence
- Willingness to undergo a Criminal History and Financial Check
Desirable:
- Experience with Microsoft Business Central
- Progress toward tertiary qualifications in accounting
