Charterhouse Partnership are currently working with a highly regarded business within the manufacturing and construction sector who are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join its team in Banyo, QLD. This is a key role responsible for delivering accurate and timely payroll services, while also supporting the Finance and HR functions.

Position Overview: As the Payroll Officer, you will manage the end-to-end payroll process for approximately 100 employees across multiple systems. In addition to payroll, the role offers variety through involvement in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and HR administration. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and organised professional who enjoys a dynamic working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• End-to-end processing of fortnightly payroll using MYOB
  
  
• Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with relevant awards and regulations
  
  
• Prepare reports related to timekeeping, superannuation, and other payroll matters
  
  
• Support HR processes including onboarding, offboarding, and employee documentation
  
  
• Assist with general bookkeeping, invoicing, and administrative tasks
  
  
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of HR policies and procedures
  
  

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Demonstrated experience in payroll processing, preferably within manufacturing or construction
  
  
• Strong understanding of Fair Work legislation, award interpretation, and payroll compliance
  
  
• Proficient in payroll and accounting systems
  
  
• High level of accuracy, discretion, and organisational skills
  
  
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
  
  
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
