The Role

This is a varied and hands-on Accounts Officer role, supporting the finance function across payroll, receivables, and payables. Working closely with an experienced Finance Manager and broader team, you’ll play a key role in ensuring timely and accurate financial operations while also supporting internal stakeholders across the business. Key areas of responsibility include:

• Supporting end-to-end payroll processing and resolving employee queries
• Maintaining debtor ledgers and driving proactive collections processes
• Preparing and issuing client invoices and managing invoice disputes
• Uploading, coding, and reconciling supplier invoices and payments
• Performing daily receipting and account reconciliations
• Assisting with month-end processes and reporting requirements
• Ensuring compliance with financial procedures and payment terms
• Providing ad hoc finance support and assisting with continuous improvement

Skills and Experience

• Previous experience in a similar payroll/accounts role
• Demonstrated experience interpreting and applying multiple Awards and EBAs is a must
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
• Solid understanding of end-to-end accounts receivable and payable processes
• Clear, professional communication
• Intermediate Excel skills; familiarity with accounting/payroll systems advantageous
• Comfortable working to deadlines and managing competing priorities
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong follow-through
