QA Manager – Automation-Focused | Complex Software Products

The Opportunity

We’ve been exclusively engaged by a high-growth product company to find a QA Manager who’s passionate about software quality, test automation, and building exceptional engineering culture. This isn’t a maintenance role — it’s a leadership opportunity to define, refine and scale QA practices across embedded systems, cloud platforms, and data-heavy applications. You’ll work closely with engineering and product leaders to drive automation, improve developer-led testing, and champion quality-first thinking across multiple squads.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead and mentor a growing team of QA engineers across multiple product teams
• Drive automation-first test strategies and modern QA frameworks (CI/CD, shift-left, etc.)
• Work cross-functionally with software, systems, and product stakeholders
• Define and implement QA best practices, tools, and performance metrics
• Own the QA roadmap: governance, test planning, release readiness

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience leading QA or test automation teams (not just project-based)
• Background in software engineering or SDET roles before stepping into leadership
• Expertise in test automation tools (e.g. Cypress, Selenium, Playwright, Postman)
• Experience working in product-led environments with distributed architectures
• Comfortable working across a blend of embedded systems and cloud applications
• Passionate about improving quality, mentoring teams, and working with smart engineers
