About the Role

As a Post Placement Support Officer, you’ll ensure job seekers stay employed and thrive in their roles, while supporting employers to build sustainable workforces. This involves:

  • Building strong relationships with job seekers, employers, and families.
  • Developing and implementing retention risk strategies to address challenges.
  • Providing mentoring, tracking progress, and supporting skill development.

Key Responsibilities

Support Job Seekers: Develop and implement retention strategies to ensure job seekers succeed in their roles and achieve sustainable employment outcomes. Build Relationships: Build strong connections with job seekers, employers, and their families to address challenges and promote positive outcomes. Track Progress: Use electronic systems to monitor and document job seeker progress, support needs, and retention strategies. Provide Mentoring: Offer guidance and skill development to job seekers, helping them navigate challenges and thrive in their roles. Ensure Compliance: Maintain a strong understanding of contractual requirements, organisational policies, and performance benchmarks, ensuring all standards are met. Work with Cultural Sensitivity: Demonstrate cultural awareness and responsive practices when engaging with Aboriginal clients, staff, and communities.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Certificate IV in Employment Services (or equivalent experience) - highly desired but not essential.
  • Proven ability to mentor, advocate, and achieve results.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and computer skills for accurate records management.
  • Understanding of Indigenous communities and the factors impacting rural areas (preferred).

What You’ll Need:

  • A current C Class driver’s license (essential)
  • Western Australian Working with Childrens Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • National Police Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
