Autoleague is on the lookout for a dedicated and proactive Safety, Health & Compliance Officer to join our team. Supporting our network of dealerships, this role is central to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our people.
As the Safety, Health & Compliance Officer, your primary focus will be providing expert workplace health and safety advice, planning and implementing WHS policies and programs, identifying hazards, assessing risks, and monitoring compliance across our sites.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Delivering expert WHS advice and support to managers and teams
- Developing, implementing and reviewing workplace health and safety policies, procedures, and programs
- Conducting site inspections, audits, and investigations, and ensuring findings are actioned
- Identifying workplace hazards, assessing risks, and recommending effective control measures
- Monitoring and reporting on safety performance and compliance
- Supporting training and communication initiatives to strengthen safety awareness and culture
- Ensuring compliance with relevant WHS legislation, standards, and internal policies
What you’ll bring:
- Experience in a health and safety or compliance-focused role, ideally within a fast-paced or multi-site environment
- Solid knowledge of WHS legislation, risk management principles, and best practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
- Confident communication and interpersonal skills – able to engage across all levels of the business
- A collaborative and solutions-focused approach
- Relevant qualifications in Work Health and Safety (Certificate IV or higher preferred)
