Hervey Bay Diesel Service is a fast-growing, family-owned mechanical workshop known for quality work, a great team culture, and strong community values. We are currently seeking an Administration / Reception / Parts Interpreter to support our Workshop Manager and help keep the front office running like a well-serviced engine.

This is a dynamic role that goes beyond answering phones – you’ll be the glue that keeps the schedule flowing, customers informed, and parts in stock.

Your responsibilities will include:

Welcoming and assisting customers in person and over the phone

Booking jobs and managing the daily workshop schedule

Invoicing completed jobs accurately and efficiently

Ordering and tracking parts for ongoing work

Maintaining a tidy and professional front-of-house area

Delivering exceptional customer service with every interaction

What we’re looking for:

Experience in a similar admin/reception role (automotive preferred but not essential)

Knowledge of automotive parts or previous parts interpreting experience is a big plus

Strong communication and organisational skills

High attention to detail and confidence using digital systems

Experience with Xero and/or ServiceM8 is highly desirable

You’ll be working alongside a down-to-earth, hardworking team who value respect, teamwork, and the occasional workplace laugh.
