Our opportunity:
We are looking for an experienced leader to join Cafs team. This newly created role will lead Cafs external engagement efforts to advance our purpose and impact within the communities which we work. This role is responsible for enhancing stakeholder relationships and engagement across all levels within the organisation, closely supporting Cafs Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
This role will have accountability for the oversight of Cafs brand, communications and marketing to ensure consistent and compelling messaging that is reflective of Cafs values and purpose.
Operating within a dynamic not-for-profit environment, the Manager champions collaboration, innovation, and accountability, ensuring that strategic and engagement activities are inclusive, measurable, and aligned with community needs.
The role also leads grant acquisition, fundraising, and philanthropy strategies, supporting the CEO and Executive Leadership Team to secure resources and build sustainable growth.
About you:
We are looking for a motivated, strategically minded community connector to join our team. You will have a demonstrated understanding and success in managing stakeholder relationships while delivering against key strategic activities across a diverse areas of program offerings.
You will have a strong business acumen with experience in developing and operationalising growth strategies, ideally within the Non For Profit sector.
Skills & Attributes
- Tertiary qualification is business, PR, communications or related field.
- Strong experience working within a stakeholder relationship/growth position
- Experience and understanding driving strategic plans, and deliverables
- Experience leading a multi-disciplined team

Cafs (Child and Family Services Ballarat) is an independent community service organisation based in Ballarat for over 160 years. We provide over 50 programs across a range of service areas providing care for clients within communities across the central highland region.
