We are a growing steel fabrication and piping business located in Bibra Lake, Western Australia.

We are looking to engage a full time Estimator who is seeking a long term position in a workshop, as a part of a small and friendly team. Your role includes analysing engineering drawings to determine material and labour requirements and prepare a quotation. You will be working closely with the Operations Manager and Quality Officer.

Must be reliable, willing to work independently, in a high-paced environment and take initiative. We are looking for a person to come on board as soon as possible and hit the ground running - in return, we offer a very attractive salary and further benefits like performance bonuses for the right candidate.

Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience:

Working knowledge of SMP estimation, tender preparation and project coordination gained within Steel fabrication (preferably mining: structural steel, tanks, chutes, skids, piping, etc);

Working knowledge of advanced Excel;

Being able to read and understand RFQ, scope of work, drawings, welding requirements as per drawings/scope;

Being able to create detailed pricing breakdowns to a narrow margin;

Minimum 2 years experience working in a small to medium sized steel fabrication workshop;

Basic experience with Steel drafting/detailing will be appreciated.
