The Department of Justice and Community Safety is seeking a Integrated Performance Management Systems Officer to provide a critical role at Western Plains Correctional Centre.
About the Business Unit
Western Plains Correctional Centre is a modern, maximum-security prison focussed on rehabilitation, housing up to 1248 people in custody. Western Plains features multi-purpose infrastructure which is adaptable to the evolving needs of Corrections Victoria and the people in our care. Modern amenities include medical wards, a cultural centre, and vocational training facilities.
This role is part of the Workforce and Prison Services (WPS) team, a team dedicated to delivering essential corporate and ancillary services support to prison operational teams and prisoners. Leveraging the technical ability and professional expertise of trained subject matter experts, the team supports the smooth functioning of prison operations while prioritising prisoner rehabilitation and safety.
About the Role
Reporting to the Supervisor, Integrated Performance Management Systems you will be a key contributor to delivering on the operational development, ramp up and support of a new correctional facility by providing support in the successful operationalisation of an integrated performance management system.
The Integrated Performance Management Systems Officer (IPMS Officer) will support the provision of consistent and efficient processes. The IPMS Officer will monitor, collate data and report on compliance and continuous improvement regarding quality assurance, workplace health, safety and wellbeing and environmental compliance. The WPCC IPMS model will ensure that the prison consistently provides reliable and efficient services, through established risk-based processes that are integrated within all daily work routines and practices.
Some of your duties will include:
- Participate in the development and implementation of strategies for quality assurance and continuous improvement in the execution of the integrated performance management system.
- Ensure compliance with relevant policies, guidelines and operating procedures, including matching of documents, inputting data, reconciling, monitoring, reporting and following up matters as required for the prison.
- Conduct regular audits relating to health and safety, environment, quality assurance, compliance, and any other relevant areas.

About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Well-developed computer literacy.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, procedures, guidelines and regulations.
Qualifications/requirements
- Diploma or certification in Auditing is desirable.
