About the Role

As Leasing Manager, you will play a vital role in whole-of-government lease procurement and management. Your responsibilities will encompass financial and tenancy management, contributing to regional policy development, and aligning leased asset supply with the Strategic Portfolio Plan. This is a high-impact role requiring strong leadership and collaborative skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee leasing projects and provide office accommodation solutions.
• Contribute to the planning and delivery of leased assets across the state government portfolio.
• Provide expert lease management advice to multi-disciplinary teams.
• Develop and implement best-practice policies and guidelines for lease procurement and management.
• Negotiate leases and manage a substantial portfolio of leased buildings.
• Provide insightful market analysis and trend reports to support strategic decision-making.
• Represent the department in internal and external meetings and forums.
• Prepare comprehensive reports, briefing notes, and financial information.
• Maintain and enhance lease management, tenancy, and financial systems.
• Build and nurture strong relationships with stakeholders across multiple departments and industry organizations.

Qualifications and Experience

• Proven expertise in lease procurement and management, including financial and tenancy aspects.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities effectively.
• Exceptional organizational and communication skills, with a demonstrable ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong collaborative skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Property Economics are highly desirable.
• Current Open Class C Driver's Licence (or equivalent).
• Successful criminal history check (prior to commencement).
• Eligibility to work in Australia.
