Key Focus Areas
Reporting to the General Manager Corporate Services, the Director Procurement undertakes a high-level leadership and oversees a team to deliver the development of Lotterywest’s contracts, procurement, facilities and fleet asset activities. This position partners with all areas of Lotterywest and plays a significant strategic role in the delivery of all contract and facilities outcomes, providing advice and influencing strategic direction in relation to procurement, fleet and facilities management to align with the organisations strategic objectives.
The key focus areas are:
Leadership – Models Lotterywest values to lead and develop a high performing team.
Procurement management – Delivers specialist advice and expertise in purchasing and strategic sourcing to ensure due diligence, due process and value for money.
Contract management – Strategic advice and expertise in contract management including complex and high value agreements and negotiations.
Facilities and asset management – Delivers assets and facilities that are fit for purpose, deliver a positive workplace experience and enable a high performing work environment.
Continuous Improvement – Drive innovation and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize contract processes and maximise value.
What we're looking for, you:
Bring significant experience in leading a procurement and contracts function ideally within a public sector context.
Have extensive knowledge of and experience in Government procurement policies, trends, issues and to advise strategic direction.
Bring demonstrated specialised knowledge and experience in complex, high risk contract development and/or management.
Utilise high level of conceptual and analytical skills with proven ability to provide innovative solutions to problems and issues related to contracts and procurement.
Have highly developed interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills with a proven ability to build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders and work collaboratively as part of a team.
Demonstrate key leadership capabilities and have successfully led and supported teams and senior leaders through collaboration and direction.
