You’ll play a key role in maintaining and improving our Excel-based economic impact models, while also contributing to event evaluation deliverables that influence government, tourism, and sporting bodies. Identify opportunities to simplify and improve spreadsheet workflows using macros/VBA.
Support the preparation and interpretation of event evaluation reports for clients.
Collaborate with research leads and senior analysts to understand project goals and translate them into analytical outputs.
Assist in managing and preparing survey and secondary data sources for analysis.
Create data summaries, visualisations, and commentaries that bring clarity to clients’ decision-making.
Contribute to internal workshops and planning sessions around modelling and research strategy.
Skills & Experience
A degree in Economics, Data Science, Business, Statistics or a related field.
2–5 years of professional experience in data analysis or modelling.
High proficiency in Excel, including experience with multi-sheet models and automation (macros/VBA).
Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with sound judgement around data interpretation.
Effective communication skills for discussing results with internal teams and senior stakeholders.
Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks and timelines.
Experience with survey data or event evaluation is highly regarded.
