Chef de Partie – Yanchep Inn

We’re looking for a capable and motivated Chef de Partie to join the kitchen team at the Yanchep Inn.

We’re based inside Yanchep National Park and cook for a mix of locals, tourists, and function guests — including weddings, birthdays, and group events. It’s a busy venue with plenty of moving parts, so we’re after someone confident on the tools and calm under pressure.

Our main menu is classic Aussie pub fare — nothing fancy, but done properly — with a few rotating specials to keep things fresh. For weddings and events, we step things up a bit with more refined, plated options. With around 50–70 weddings a year, there’s more to the role than just short-order pub service.

This job would suit an experienced CDP looking for something steady and long-term, or a Demi Chef who’s ready to take the next step. Pay will depend on your experience and what you bring to the table.

We’re a family-run place, not a big corporate kitchen. You’ll be working with a small team, hands-on managers, and people who care about what they do. If you’re reliable, easy to get along with, and take pride in your work, you’ll fit in well.

What the job involves:

Running your section during busy lunch and dinner services

Keeping food quality and presentation consistent

Helping train junior staff when needed

Staying clean, organised, and safe

Being flexible — we’re a small team, so we help each other out

Managing stock, rotation, and minimising waste

What we’re looking for:

A steady, reliable attitude — no egos

Solid experience in short-order cooking and fast-paced service

Confidence on grill, pans, fryer — the usual sections

Good comms and time management

Someone who’s keen to grow and work as part of a team

Pride in doing things properly, even when it’s flat out

Full working rights in Australia
