About the business

Southport Auto Recyclers is a used automotive parts recycler based in Southport. We are an arm of Auto Parts Supply, supplying new parts to the Automotive industry.

The role is primarily working on the used side of the business but will include new parts when needed- both sides of the business operate from a single warehouse.

We welcome interstate applicants looking to relocate to the Gold Coast.

We are made up of a small team of 22 striving to offer industry-leading service to the retail and trade automotive industry dealing in New and Used auto parts along with scrap metals.

Complete computerized inventory will allow an applicant with computer experience to easily convert into an auto parts environment.

Pinnacle pro, mechanical knowledge and eBay experience is an advantage but not essential in the role.

The role does not involve any hands on vehicle dismantling or parts removal.

Knowledge of the local area and various courier companies and routes is an advantage.

The Position

We are seeking a Warehousing & Dispatch team member to join us.

The role involves multi-skilling in a number of duties from quality control, deliveries, dispatch and warehousing.

Automotive parts knowledge and Pinnacle Pro management software experience is an advantage but not essential.

Role responsibilities-

Order picking

Local deliveries and pick up’s

Assisting with loading and unloading trucks and shipping containers

Labeling and storing parts accurately

Managing returns and credits

Quality control

Completing and verifying records to ensure accurate tracking of parts in the warehouse and to our customers

Packing & wrapping parts for distribution on various couriers and Australia post nationwide.

General warehouse duties as required

Requirements Advantages to the position but not essential would include-

LF Licences (Forklift)

Drivers license (manual)

Previous Warehousing & dispatch experience.

The role involves heavy lifting.

Automotive parts experience or basic mechanical knowledge

Intermediate computer skills

Ability to work alone and as part of a team

Eye for detail - with quality control inspection of all parts carried out before leaving warehouse

Ability to communicate, read and write effectively
