Corporate Receptionist
Full-time, 38 hours a week
This is an Aboriginal Designated Position, classified under 'special measures' of Section 12 of the Equal Opportunity Act 2010. Only Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are eligible to apply.
About the Role
We are seeking a committed and culturally aware Receptionist to be the welcoming face of Rumbalara Aboriginal Cooperative. The Receptionist will be responsible for front-of-house services, ensuring all visitors, staff, and stakeholders are greeted in a professional and culturally safe manner. The role also includes administrative support to the People and Culture and Workforce Development teams.This role is about showing up with professionalism, being able to work on your own when needed, and staying flexible and responsive in a busy and changing work environment.
About You
To excel in this position, you should possess the following qualifications and qualities:
· You are Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.
· Knowledge of the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community and culture, and an understanding of factors affecting Indigenous health and wellbeing.
· At least 2 years of experience in a receptionist, administration or front desk role.
· Professional and courteous communication style, both in person and via phone.
· Proficient in using multi-line telephone systems.
· Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
· Strong time management and organisational skills with attention to detail.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
· Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively.
· High level of confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive information.
· Able to jump in and help with different admin tasks, adapt to what’s needed, and work well in a busy, community-minded workplace.

· Salary packaging of $15,900 available for Part- or Full-time employees.
