Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Financial Manager to oversee, advise and report on; accounting and financial systems, budgeting, forecasting & planning, reviews, ensuring compliance across our organisation and associated entities. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently across multiple financial activities. This position reports directly to the Managing Director and may involve supervising relevant junior staff as & if required.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain accurate records for Surgicare Supplies Pty. Ltd. and its associated entities.

Oversee, monitor and analyze financial practices and systems; utilised in goal orientated management decision making.

Develop budgeting, forecasting (short and long term), financial reporting and planning information.

Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions as needed.

Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and company policies.

Financial System reviews for continual improvement.

Assisting in business planning & preparation of business affiliate reports including presentations.

Assisting the managing director with business affiliates meetings and preparation of meeting agenda.

Analysing business development opportunities.

Advise, participate and manage in top-down decisions on all above activities.

Provide guidance to junior finance and accounting staff if required.

Strong background in accounting is desirable.

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

CPA or CA qualification (or currently working towards it) preferred.

Minimum 3 years of experience in an accounting role (preferably in a multi-entity environment).

Experience with Medical, Hospital Management Functions, Property and Financial Investment assets desirable.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, budgeting control and financial reporting.

Knowledge of accounting systems and IT.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Salary Base: AUD 90,000 per year (based on experience).
