The Finance and Operations Manager is responsible for financial management (using Xero), trust accounting (using Yardi), and payroll requirements of Preston Rowe Paterson Sydney and Australasia, as well as oversight of HR policies and staffing issues. The Finance and Operations Manager has one direct report

Your day to day may include but is not limited to:

Manage general office accounts, end of month duties, and financial reporting for PRP Sydney using Xero

Manage all accounting and collection of franchise fees on behalf of PRP Australasia using Xero

Oversee trust accounting for PRP Sydney’s property management team using Yardi

Complete payroll for PRP Sydney (35-40 employees) and PRP Australasia (10-12 employees)

Commission calculation and tracing of financial performance of each valuer

Preparation of BAS

Preparation of Payroll Tax calculations and lodgement

Financial analysis regarding cashflow and other items as required

Work closely with external accountant

Manage one direct report (Finance and Operations Accountant), offering mentorship, training and feedback.

Oversee human resource tasks & policies using HRIS system (HappyHR).

Manage employment records and holiday register

Handle staff issues, participate in performance reviews, and assist in recruitment when required.

Assisting and working across business systems when required

Working closely with directors to assist in business improvement

Foster a positive and collaborative learning culture.

To be successful in the role you will have:

Bachelor's degree or educational background in Finance, Accounting, or relevant field.

Strong experience with financial management and payroll.

Exposure to Xero, Yardi, and Happy HR would be an advantage.
