The Role - Full time 76 hours / - Epping Head Office

The International Workforce Manager plays a critical role in securing a sustainable and high-quality workforce for Southern Cross Care (NSW & ACT) Limited, across our clinical and residential aged care teams.

This role serves as a key connector between the organisation and international talent, and leads the integration of our international workforce, ensuring their transition into SCC is seamless, compliant, and positive for both employees and the organisation. You’ll act as a strategic enabler of global talent mobility and retention, and workforce growth – supporting critical talent shortages while uplifting employee experience, business readiness, and long-term workforce planning.

Whether you’re working with migration agents, navigating visa pathways, or partnering with managers to prepare teams for incoming employees, your work ensures that SCC is future-ready with the right people, in the right places, at the right time.

International Workforce Strategic Planning

Coordinate end-to-end international recruitment strategies aligned to workforce needs

Build and manage pipeline of international candidates in partnership with vendors and agencies

Partner with P&C and operational teams to forecast global workforce requirements

Visa, Relocation & Onboarding

Manage immigration pathways, visa applications, and compliance requirements

Act as a single point of contact for international employees throughout the relocation process

Liaise with external vendors and internal teams to coordinate training, accommodation, and onboarding plans

Cultural & Professional Integration

Develop and implement cultural training programs for international talent and local teams

Act as a resource for international staff navigating work-life integration in a new country

Provide guidance on housing, schooling, healthcare, and local services

Provide coaching and education to managers around global mobility and cultural readiness

Proactively engage with candidates to ensure a high-touch, human-centric recruitment experience

Process Optimisation & Compliance

Monitor and improve end-to-end international talent processes for quality, timeliness, and scalability

Ensure all mobility activities are compliant with SCC policies, legal requirements, and industry standards

Track and report on key metrics, identifying areas for process improvement and risk mitigation

Requirements

Excellent interpersonal, cross-cultural communication, and organisational skills

Proficiency in one or more foreign languages is highly regarded

Experience working in a multinational or multicultural environment

Excellent stakeholder management and vendor coordination skills

A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and ability to work independently

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, International Relations, Business Administration or related field

5+ years of experience in international HR, immigration support, global mobility or related roles

Strong understanding of visa, international labour immigration frameworks in Australia
