We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented HR and Compliance Manager to lead our human resources and compliance operations within the healthcare sectors. This role is critical in ensuring 100% internal employee and business compliance, driving workforce quality, and supporting the strategic growth of our casual healthcare staffing pool. The successful candidate will bring expertise in Fair Work compliance, particularly within the Aged Care Award, Nurses Award, and SCHADS Award, while demonstrating strong leadership and a proactive approach to change management.

Key Responsibilities:
Compliance Management
Ensure full compliance of all internal employees, including credentialing, mandatory training, documentation, and background checks.
Maintain 100% compliance across all areas of the business, aligned with industry regulations, legislation, and quality standards.
Manage and lead compliance projects, audits, and internal reviews, identifying areas for improvement and initiating change.
Draft, review, and implement workplace policies and procedures in line with regulatory and organisational requirements.
Human Resources & Recruitment
Manage end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes for healthcare workers, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and activating new staff into the casual pool.
Coordinate induction, orientation, and ongoing support for new and existing employees.
Support workforce planning, performance management, and staff retention initiatives.
Reporting & Administration
Prepare and deliver monthly and ad-hoc HR and compliance reports to executive management.
Oversee HR documentation, contracts, and records with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Resolve employee issues or concerns in a timely, professional, and compliant manner.
Industrial Relations & Awards
Interpret and apply the relevant Awards and employment legislation, including the Aged Care Award, Nurses Award, and SCHADS Award.
Provide advice on employee entitlements, wage compliance, and Fair Work obligations.
Leadership & Strategy
Lead and mentor HR and compliance support staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team culture.
Contribute to the development of a positive workplace culture aligned with our organisation’s mission and values.
Act as a trusted advisor to management on HR strategy, risk mitigation, and workforce development.
Key Skills & Attributes:
Proven experience in HR, compliance, or workforce management within the aged care, disability, or healthcare sector.
Strong understanding of Fair Work legislation and relevant Awards (Aged Care, Nurses, SCHADS).
High-level attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to influence and motivate others.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proactive problem-solver with strong organisational and time management capabilities.
Comfortable working on compliance improvement projects and driving innovation.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Qualification in Human Resources, Business, Health Administration, or related field (preferred).
Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar HR/compliance role (healthcare experience preferred)
Current Police Check and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
