The job
As our Marketing Executive, you will work closely with our small, long-established team in Australia to drive growth and raise awareness of Smartbox products, services and online learning platform Smartbox Academy. In this newly created role, your focus will be on supporting sales teams with outreach and lead development, local training and AAC events, raising brand visibility, managing our local social media channels, and helping to increase awareness of AAC in Australia.
You will be supported by Group Product Marketing and Comms teams to roll out product launches and awareness campaigns using established brand and marketing content, and tailoring resources for the Australian market. This is a varied and hands-on role for someone who can work on a variety of initiatives at once, with a passion for learning about a wide variety of marketing and outreach strategies, and to help shape our future approach for a market with tremendous growth potential.
Key responsibilities
Outreach and lead develop:
Support the sales team with targeted marketing content to promote Smartbox products, collaborating with Group Product Marketing and Comms teams on groupwide strategies.
Execute account-based marketing tactics, delivering personalised campaigns.
Collaborate with sales teams to identify and prioritise key clients, maintaining contact lists for targeted outreach.
Work with the sales team to develop and promote the trials journey.
Work with clients and AAC users to create case studies and testimonials.
Work with the Group Comms team to use global comms channels when required.
Analyse campaign performance and provide data-driven recommendations.
Conferences and exhibitions
Coordinate regional and national conferences and training events, acting as a single point of contact for event organisation.
Assist with branding, design, and presentation slide formatting.
Prepare regular reports on event lead generation and ROI for internal stakeholders.
Product marketing support
Maintain brand consistency and localise marketing materials.
Coordinate with Group Marketing about printed materials for Australia.
Strategic partnerships and thought-leadership
Participate in global awareness campaigns and price promotions.
Oversee the delivery of local webinars and promotion and Academy content, working with professional bodies.
Partner with industry professionals to create guest blogs to highlight the impact AAC can have.
Stay updated on industry trends and conduct market research.
Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders to support business growth.
The ideal candidate would have:
Enthusiasm and passion for marketing and technology.
A good eye for detail, organized and able to work efficiently and independently.
Excellent English and writing skills, with experience writing marketing copy.
Experience working with project teams and meeting milestones effectively.
Highly skilled in using Microsoft applications including PowerPoint and Word, including creating attractive branded visuals for external presentations.
Experience managing personal data and able to organise databases securely.
Hands-on in creating outbound marketing campaigns and relevant content (skilled in using illustrations/graphics, photography, copywriting, and relevant software).
Experience creating reports that capture performance and areas for improvement.
Data management experience (working with CRM system).
Experience coordinating complex events, planning, and attending conferences.
