About the Role
Marrickville Golf Club is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts & Administration Assistant to join our small, friendly team on a part-time basis (4 days per week including Saturday Morning). Reporting directly to the General Manager, this diverse and hands-on role will support the club’s day-to-day financial and administrative operations while also contributing to member engagement, communications, and event coordination.

Key Responsibilities
You will play a vital role in supporting financial operations, administration, member engagement, and communications. Responsibilities include:
Financial & Administrative Support
Daily banking, cash handling, and reconciliation
Accounts payable and payroll processing
General bookkeeping and assistance with reporting
Membership Services
Handling member inquiries and processing applications
Invoicing, payments, and assisting with annual billing
Maintaining member records and communications
Communications & Marketing
Creating email campaigns and newsletters (e.g. Mailchimp)
Designing flyers, posters, and social content using Canva
Preparing and posting to social media channels (Facebook, Instagram)
Office & Operational Support
General phone, email, and reception duties
Provide direct support to the GM & staff, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations
Assist with various administrative duties as required
About You
We’re looking for someone who thrives in a varied, team-based role and enjoys taking initiative. The ideal candidate will have:
Essential:
Strong numeracy and attention to detail in financial tasks
Experience with MYOB or similar accounting systems
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
RSA certificate or willingness to obtain
Desirable:
Experience in clubs, hospitality, or community organisations
Familiarity with golf or membership-based systems (training provided)
Confidence using Canva, Mailchimp, and social media platforms
Excellent organisational and multitasking skills
Training will be provided where needed, but previous experience across these areas will be highly regarded.
