- TRP from $210,061 to $234,164 including superannuation, commensurate with experience
This is a unique executive level opportunity within the Property Development and Valuation team to shape how government undertakes land acquisitions to support future infrastructure in NSW.
As the Project Director, Land Acquisition Review, you'll lead a high-profile project reviewing how land is acquired across government—shaping better, fairer practices for communities and agencies alike. You’ll coordinate inputs from across departments, apply rigorous analysis, and manage reporting to ensure the review meets its strategic goals and influences lasting change.
You'll need to navigate complex stakeholder expectations, work within tight timelines, and manage competing priorities, all while maintaining clear communication and a sharp focus on outcomes. Your ability to lead a multidisciplinary team and keep things moving in a politically sensitive space will be critical to your success.

About You
You will draw on your sharp project leadership skills and deep understanding of government processes to lead a critical review of land acquisition. Your background in delivering high-stakes, time-sensitive projects gives you the confidence to manage complexity, engage stakeholders, and keep everything on track.
You’re someone who thrives on clarity and purpose—able to bring people together, translate big-picture goals into tangible outcomes, and communicate findings with authority and impact. Your ability to work across agencies and navigate sensitive terrain will ensure this review drives meaningful, lasting reform.
Essential requirements
- Experience in leading legislative reform, specifically knowledge and understanding of the Land Acquisition (Just Terms Compensation) Act 1991.
- Demonstrated experience in working with ministers’ offices and whole of government collaboration
- Strong understanding of government property acquisition processes
