The Opportunity:

As the Director of DFIR, you will be instrumental in leading, building, and expanding Cybertify's Digital Forensics and Incident Response practice. You will oversee all DFIR engagements, drive strategic growth, enhance service delivery, and ensure our Elite Cyber Squad continues to deliver rapid, effective, and compliance-driven incident management for our diverse, regulated clientele.

What You'll Do:

Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Cybertify's DFIR service offerings.

Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and grow a team of highly skilled DFIR professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, continuous learning, and innovation.

Practice Management: Oversee the operational delivery of all DFIR engagements, ensuring high-quality outcomes, client satisfaction, and adherence to agile methodologies.

Technical Oversight: Provide expert guidance and oversight on complex incident investigations, breach containment, root cause analysis, and remediation planning.

Service Enhancement: Continuously evolve and refine DFIR methodologies, tools, and processes, incorporating cutting-edge forensic techniques and threat intelligence.

Business Development: Collaborate with the leadership team on business development activities, including proposal writing, client presentations, and showcasing Cybertify's DFIR capabilities.

Client Advisory: Act as a trusted advisor to C-level executives and boards, providing strategic insights on cyber resilience, incident readiness, and regulatory compliance (e.g., APRA CPS 234, Privacy Act).

Market Intelligence: Stay ahead of emerging cyber threats, regulatory changes, and industry best practices in DFIR.

Quality Assurance: Ensure all DFIR deliverables meet Cybertify's unwavering commitment to quality and precision.

What You'll Bring (Your Elite Cyber Squad Leadership Credentials):

6+ years of progressive experience in Digital Forensics and Incident Response, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role within a consulting firm or enterprise.

Demonstrated success in building, leading, and scaling high-performing DFIR teams and practices.

Deep, hands-on expertise in incident investigation, forensic analysis, threat hunting, and breach response across diverse environments (on-prem, cloud, hybrid).

Exceptional strategic thinking coupled with a strong understanding of technical details and operational execution.

Proven ability to interact and influence at executive and board levels, articulating complex cybersecurity risks and solutions.

Strong knowledge of global and Australian regulatory frameworks (e.g., Essential Eight, ISO 27001, APRA CPS 234, Privacy Act, HIPAA, PCI DSS) and their impact on incident response.

Relevant industry certifications (e.g., GCFA, GCIH, GCFE, CISSP, CISM, OSCP) highly desirable.

Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

A proactive, agile mindset with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.

Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency is a mandatory requirement.
