Are you passionate about Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and eager to make a difference in your community?
We are looking for a talented and motivated individual to join our team as a Geographic Information System Project Officer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate GIS projects from inception to completion.
- Develop and maintain GIS databases, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Analyse spatial data to support decision-making processes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their GIS needs and provide solutions.
- Create maps, reports, and presentations to communicate findings effectively.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in GIS, or a related field.
- Proven experience in GIS project management.
- Proficiency in GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS, TechOne Spatial).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

About Maroondah City Council
Maroondah City Council was constituted as a new municipality on 15 December 1994. The City of Maroondah is made up of three wards, with each ward represented by three Councillors.
Council elections were held in November 2012 and the new Council will remain in office until the next election in 2016. Councillors elect the Mayor each year to serve as the principal ambassador for the City.
