Band 6 Salary: $94,412 - $102,394 plus 12% superannuation

We have a terrific opportunity for a Senior IT Infrastructure & System Administrator to join our Business Improvement team.
About this Role
Working in collaboration with the other Senior IT Infrastructure & System Administrator, you will be accountable for the delivery of IT infrastructure and systems, ensuring the delivery is reliable, secure, and maintained.
In addition to the above, position objectives include:
- Providing second and third level support for the organisations infrastructure and systems, ensuring they are well documented.
- Identifying, improving and developing existing and implementing new and emerging technologies to meet Council's current and future needs.
- Providing excellent customer service to all stakeholders, including employees and external customers.
About You
You will demonstrate technical knowledge and understanding of maintaining environments consisting of Virtual and Physical Servers, SAN and Server OS, Backup Hardware and Technologies, Active Directory & Azure AD, MS Exchange (Cloud and on prem), Security Tools and Monitoring Tools.
You'll also need:
- Degree in Computer Science or relevant qualifications or discipline with relevant experience or lesser formal qualifications with substantial experience in managing and maintaining data IT Infrastructure.
- Demonstrated technical knowledge and understanding of maintaining environment consisting of networks, firewalls, telephony, video conferencing & CCTV.
- Proven ability to develop and implement strategies, policies, and action plans in alignment with the organisation's and service unit's objectives.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering technical work for IT projects on time, and scope, with ability to roll out large change to core infrastructure ensuring client engagement.
- Proven oral and written communication skills and can adapt the communication approach to target audience.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise and approach to solve technical problems, with a commitment to continuous improvement.
