The Role

As a Chef de Partie at Blackbird Melbourne, you’ll oversee a vital section of our kitchen, from woodfired grills to pastry, ensuring seamless operations under the guidance of our Head Chef, Josh Moroney. You'll craft dishes that celebrate Victoria’s dynamic food culture, using locally sourced ingredients and innovative techniques to deliver exceptional dining moments.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare your workstation with precision and care, using the finest ingredients and equipment.

Execute menu items with creativity and flair, ensuring impeccable presentation and taste.

Maintain strict control over food costs and inventory, optimizing efficiency and minimizing waste.

Uphold our high standards of cleanliness and safety, ensuring a sanitized and organized kitchen environment.

Mentor and develop junior kitchen staff, fostering a culture of learning and growth.

Skills and Experience

Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar high-volume kitchen environment.

Proficiency in various cooking methods and techniques, with expertise in specific kitchen sections.

Strong attention to detail, ensuring every dish meets our exacting standards.

Team player with a passion for culinary excellence and continuous improvement.

Familiarity with health and safety regulations, prioritizing kitchen hygiene and food safety.
