Competitive remuneration on SCHADS Award Level 5, starting from $102,000 (incl leave loading) base salary, plus super and NFP salary sacrifice

LGBTIQ+ Health Australia (LHA) is the national peak health organisation in Australia for organisations and individuals that provide health-related programs, services and research focused on lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and intersex people and other sexual orientation, gender, and bodily diverse people and communities.
LHA works with legislators, policymakers, and service providers to help them understand and address the needs of LGBTIQ+SB people and communities. We support LHA members to have a stronger policy voice and partner with researchers across the country on issues of LGBTIQ+SB health and wellbeing
About The Role
Silver Rainbow Training is LHA’s national program designed to enhance awareness and inclusivity in the aged care sector, ensuring that LGBTIQ+SB older people receive respectful, affirming, and high-quality care. The training is delivered across Australia and aligns with national aged care standards, sector needs, and policy frameworks.
The Project Coordinator - Silver Rainbow supports the coordination, development, and delivery of the Silver Rainbow training and capacity building program. The role works closely with aged care providers, policymakers, and community stakeholders to ensure aged care professionals receive comprehensive training in LGBTI inclusive care. The Project Coordinator will support program development, resource creation, stakeholder engagement, and quality assurance
The position is responsible for ensuring all training content aligns with aged care sector guidelines, funding agreements, and best practice standards.
What you will do
Support the Silver Rainbow team in developing and delivering high-quality LGBTIQ+SB inclusivity training for the aged care sector, including eLearning.
Assist with engagement initiatives to build strong relationships within the aged care sector.
Support partnership relationships with training providers, peak bodies, and community organisations to extend the reach of Silver Rainbow programs.
Assist with business development strategies and stakeholder collaboration to improve uptake of Silver Rainbow programs.
Work with the Silver Rainbow team to develop and refine training resources using emerging research, policy insights, and community feedback.
Contribute to sector-wide promotional and advocacy efforts, to enhance the experiences of LGBTIQ+SB older people within aged care.
Represent Silver Rainbow by attending aged care forums, sector events and conferences, and providing secretariat support at meetings.
What are we looking for
Qualifications in ageing support, adult education, social work, community services, or related fields or equivalent industry experience
Demonstrated experience in project administration with a proven understanding of the aged care sector, including aged care standards and policy frameworks in the notfor-profit sector.
Familiarity with adult learning principles and best practices in training delivery.
Experience in the not-for-profit sector, including working with government funding agreements, reporting structures, and outcome measures.
Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in team environment with a commitment to advancing LGBTI inclusivity and health outcomes in aged care.
Proficient across MS Office 365 with an understanding of LMS and CRM platforms.
Ability to travel locally and interstate to represent Silver Rainbow at conferences.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and advocate for the health needs of the community.
