About the role

We have an opportunity for a Project Coordinator to be part of our Wireless Network Group, . The Project Coordinator performs project management and support activities to contribute to the development and delivery of a range of projects in line with established objectives.

The Project Coordinator (Assets) plays a pivotal role in managing both the physical and financial aspects of project-funded assets within Wireless Network Group. This includes tracking, auditing, and capitalising equipment, coordinating logistics, and ensuring accurate asset records. The role requires close collaboration with technical staff, finance teams, and regional warehouses, with a strong emphasis on communication, attention to detail, and proactive management of asset movements.

We are seeking an organised and detail-oriented Project Coordinator (Assets) to support the Police Critical Communications Work Program – Radio Infrastructure (PCCWP-RI) program. This role is responsible for managing the lifecycle of project-funded assets—from delivery and physical capture to financial capitalisation and disposal.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Asset Management: Conducting audits, capturing serial and inventory numbers, maintaining a centralised asset register, and ensuring accurate deployment records.
  • Financial Reconciliation: Preparing capitalisation forms, analysing purchase orders, and integrating intangible costs into fixed asset values using Excel-based and SAP tools.
  • Logistics Coordination: Liaising with project teams to track equipment movements, organise transfers and disposals, and ensure timely updates to asset systems (SAP, BluePortal).
  • Field Work: Occasional travel required to regional sites (e.g., Wagga Wagga, Illawarra, Cooma, Dubbo) for asset audits and equipment capture.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Working closely with engineers, finance staff, and warehouse teams to ensure asset data integrity and compliance.

Ideal candidates will have experience in asset coordination, logistics, and financial reconciliation, along with familiarity in SAP and strong Excel skills. A background or certification in accounting or finance would be highly regarded. Strong communication skills and a willingness to travel for site visits will help ensure success in this role.

Opportunity to extend the position by an additional 6 months, subject to project demand.
