About the Role
We're looking for a proactive and driven Operations Coordinator to support the smooth running of our Medical and Training Services divisions. This is a dynamic, hands-on role that plays a key part in ensuring our facilities, equipment, and logistics operate efficiently and safely. You'll work closely with a supportive team and contribute directly to the operational success of SDS. This role requires someone who is physically active, enjoys variety, and is capable of working across all levels of the business.
Responsibilities include and are not limited to:
Maintain the live firefighting training ground, equipment, plant, machinery, gas supplies etc.
Ensure all equipment and resources required for training and assessment is ready and suitable for use i.e. Breathing Apparatus cylinders re-filled etc.
Maintaining and managing the serviceability of all SDS vehicles, safety and electrical equipment
Manage and schedule routine and emergency maintenance tasks, including repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance
Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and service providers to arrange and supervise maintenance and repair work
Ensuring the facility is cleaned, tidied and maintained
Ensuring all equipment is registered within the Asset Management database and accurate records are thoroughly maintained
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in all aspects of facilities management
Manage reordering of various medical supplies
Conduct regular inspections of facilities, identifying potential issues and addressing them proactively
Maintain accurate records of maintenance schedules, costs, and completed work for reporting purposes
Inspecting, testing and tagging safety and electrical equipment
Coordinating freight movements
Delivery and collection of items
General handyman/maintenance duties
Warehouse stock arrangement
Provide general logistic and maintenance support to the wider business
Essential Criteria
Current WA C class driver’s license
National Police Clearance
Current Forklift Licence
Familiarity with medical supplies a desirable trait as would be any previous exp. as ESO / PTO / ERT (Desirable)
Fit & healthy for labouring, packing, unloading freight etc.
Proficient in Microsoft - Word, Outlook, Excel and Power Point
Ability to work independently
Excellent attention to detail
Be self-motivated, able to work effectively and efficiently within a team environment and autonomously
