About Us
Safety Direct Solutions Pty Ltd (SDS) is a registered Training Organisation (RTO #51632) who through the Operations Division, employs Emergency Response, Emergency Service Officers as well as Paramedics to provide services on our client’s onshore mining and offshore Oil & Gas sites across Australia and New Zealand. Our clients depend on our team to prepare, respond to and effectively manage any emergency situation.
The Position
The Training Coordinator is pivotal to providing coordination and administration of the training services division and assisting with operational requirements.
The successful applicant must be a self-starter with a high degree of initiative, be willing to learn new skills, and be prepared to carry out routine tasks such as course preparation including printing, being first point of contact for all training inquiries, housekeeping, and greeting clients as required.
Key responsibilities include and are not limited to:
Coordinate trainer schedules, including managing leave requests and reviewing timesheets.
Managing the schedule of training facilities and bookings to ensure optimal utilisation of resources.
Manage mobilisation and logistics for onsite training, including coordinating travel and accommodation for trainers.
Manage student enrolments, maintain accurate training records, and manage invoicing processes.
Liaising with clients and responding to inquiries in a timely manner.
Prepare and manage quotes, purchase orders, and invoices in alignment with business requirements.
Support the daily administrative operations of the Training Services Department.
Processing course bookings, enrolments and completed course packs.
Provide ongoing support to students and stakeholders throughout the training life cycle—from enrolment and learning support to course completion.
The successful candidate will possess:
Experience working in an RTO
Strong computer and administration skills are essential
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft suite and the ability to use current technology
Sound time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure
Developed sense of initiative, with the ability to work autonomously or in a team environment, and accept accountability and responsibility for own actions
Strong organisational skills
Refined communication and interpersonal skills
Current National Police Clearance not more than three months old or ability to apply and provide one
Desirable:
Experience in the use of PowerPro
TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent
