The opportunity:
The Sustainable Landscapes Coordinator (Soil) is responsible for delivering the on ground work of the National Soil Monitoring Program in South Australia. This role will be responsible for conducting field activities including gathering land management information, soil description observations, recording of data, and collection of soil samples according to standard operating procedures. The role requires considerable skills in relation to the Australian soil characterisations and land survey and will involve significant amounts of field work and soil sampling.

A field based role working collaboratively with landholders and other soil staff and agencies.
Special conditions:
Position is based in South Australia.
A current minimum class C driver's licence and willingness and ability to safely operate a 4WD is required.
Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory criminal history check.
Will have the opportunity to participate in fire management or associated duties.
Some out of hours work and intrastate travel involving overnight absences from home will be required.
Required to work alone in a field environment, sometimes in remote locations, and working in adverse weather conditions from time to time.
Required to participate in the LC Landscape Board's Performance Development and Review Program.
