About GoldlinQ

GoldlinQ is responsible for the financing, delivery, operation, and maintenance of the Gold Coast Light Rail through a Public Private Partnership (PPP) with the Queensland Government. The project is a key part of the city’s public transport network and is jointly funded by three levels of government and private investors. With stages 1 and 2 operational and stage 3 under construction, GoldlinQ is committed to providing a safe, reliable, and sustainable transport solution for the Gold Coast.

About the Role

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Finance Manager plays a critical leadership role in the financial governance and reporting of the project, strengthening the company's financial framework. This role is ideal for a commercially astute finance professional who thrives in a hands-on environment with a wide scope of responsibilities. Due to the lean and focused nature of the team, the role requires a hands-on approach and strong ownership of deliverables to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

Leading and coordinating the statutory reporting process, including convening the Financial Reporting Committee, managing timeframes, liaising with audit firms

Preparing and delivering accurate and timely monthly management reports

Overseeing tax compliance, ensuring adherence to accounting standards and governance requirements, and liaising with Tax advisors

Providing strategic financial insight and operational support across the business

Supervising payroll and ensuring robust internal controls

Ensuring Accounting standards and policies are adhered to

Driving continuous improvement in financial systems, processes, and controls

About You

To thrive in this role, you will be a sharp, highly motivated, detail-oriented, technically strong and commercially minded finance professional with a can do attitude. You will have:

CA or CPA qualification

Demonstrated experience in a similar finance leadership role, ideally in construction or infrastructure

Strong technical accounting and reconciliation governance skills

Strong attention to detail with effective time management skills

Excellent communication skills

Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with Business Intelligence software (highly regarded)

A collaborative mindset and a passion for contributing to impactful community infrastructure
