About Red Lily Health Board
Red Lily is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation delivering primary health care services to West Arnhem communities including Minjilang, Warruwi, Jabiru and Gunbalanya. Our mission is simple but powerful: community-led, culturally safe, holistic health care for Aboriginal people.
About the Role
This position is based in Darwin. Reporting to the Business Manager and working closely with the CEO, Executive team, and Board, the Finance Manager is the lead for all things finance at Red Lily. You’ll manage financial systems and reporting, lead audits and policy development, ensure funding compliance, and support strategic decision-making across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day financial operations including accounts payable and receivable, financial reconciliations, and general ledger management
- Oversee and enhance multi-cost centre budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
- Manage grant acquittals, funding compliance, and cash flow planning
- Prepare and submit BAS, FBT, and other ATO compliance documents
- Coordinate financial audits and maintain quality systems and documentation
- Identify and drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
- Support procurement, contract management, and policy development
- Provide strategic financial advice to the Executive and Board, including remote travel to present financial data in community
- Support a culture of financial literacy and accountability across Red Lily teams
Key Selection Criteria
Essential
- Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Business, Commerce or Accounting
- CPA or CA qualification (or working towards)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
- Experience managing complex budgets and financial systems
- Strong skills in MYOB, Microsoft 365 and financial systems
- Exceptional communication, analytical and time-management skills
- Proven ability to develop others' financial understanding and accountability
Desirable
- Experience in the Not-for-Profit or Aboriginal Community Controlled sector
- Understanding of delivering services in remote communities
