The Role & Responsibilities:
As a Council Services Manager you will lead and manage the delivery of municipal and community services in remote locations, ensuring operational excellence, delivering impactful outcomes, and fostering community connections. This hands-on leadership role requires adaptability, resilience, and a commitment to creating meaningful impact in diverse settings.

Key responsibilities include:

• Overseeing the delivery of municipal and community services, including waste management, community events, and night patrols.
• Mentoring and developing a diverse team, fostering professional growth and strong workplace culture.
• Building partnerships with local schools, health clinics, and other organisations to enhance community outcomes.
• Ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety regulations and managing the financial budgets effectively.
• Promoting environmental sustainability and adhering to best practices.
• Coordinating resources to meet the dynamic needs of the community.
• Presence in the community inspecting public spaces and driving improvement initiatives.

What You Will Bring:

• Leadership experience in either operations and/or municipal services.
• Hands on leadership style and capability to lead by example.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively in cross-cultural environments.
• Practical skills in stakeholder management and relationship building.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and experience mentoring and motivating diverse teams.
• Strong problem solving abilities and time management.
• Financial management expertise and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
• A current manual driver’s license and the ability to adapt to remote community living.
