VEHICLE SERVICES MANAGER

St John Ambulance Australia (NT) Inc. is a self-funding charitable organisation dedicated to assisting the people of the Northern Territory, we provide a range of services, including emergency and non-emergency ambulance services under contract to the Northern Territory Government, as well as world-class first aid training, first aid kits, and medical services at events to enhance public safety.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Vehicle Services Manager is responsible for the managing the day-to-day operations of the Workshop including but not limited to building of ambulance vehicles, monitoring the quality of repairs, annual preventive maintenance, implementation of health and safety standards, and performance appraisal of Workshop staff. The person will lead a team of people, allocating their workload within the Northern and Southern workshops, coordinating resources and liaising with internal and external key contacts to ensure work is delivered on time and at the required quality standard.

• Experienced Workshop Manager.
• Committed and ready to lead a multi-skilled team.
• A demonstrated and proven track record in Workshop Management.
• Strong people skills with the ability to nurture relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Sound technical knowledge. Mercedes Benz commercial vehicle experience will be highly regarded.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• High energy, proactive, resilient, and with a ‘will-to-win’ mindset.
• Ability to lead your team from the front.
• A passionate and highly motivated individual.
• A driven and committed team player with strong business acumen.
• Ability to accurately document, report, and present results and statistical data.
• Understands and confidently navigates financial information such as profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash-flow.
• Competent in running sensitivity analysis and pulling together fully costed models.
• Has an eye for efficiencies, value-add initiatives, and growth/investment opportunities.
