Workfast is seeking a Yard Manager for our valued client based in Pinelands, NT (Darwin), offering a $120,000 annual salary + perks.

With advanced processing capabilities including fragmentisers, shears, balers, and granulating plants, they uphold the highest environmental and quality standards. What you get:

• Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

What you need:

• Valid Australian C-Class Driver’s Licence
• 2+ years of leadership experience in a similar industry
• Knowledge of scrap metal processing techniques and equipment
• Strong planning, scheduling, and time management skills
• Basic understanding of NHVR mass and dimension regulations
• Forklift or Excavator Ticket (Required)
• Additional relevant tickets or licences (Advantageous)

What you will be doing:

• Overseeing daily yard operations to ensure all Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality standards are exceeded
• Leading and supporting the team to achieve operational efficiency and deliver high levels of customer and vendor service
• Setting and implementing production goals and procedures in line with budget targets and business forecasts
• Applying your understanding of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and cost management to drive continuous improvement
• Conducting training sessions, including onboarding and induction for new team members
• Collaborating closely with regional leadership to ensure site performance aligns with broader operational objectives
