Our current IMO has been promoted and we are looking to fill this key role within our Communications team. This interesting and varied role provides a range of functions to the Shire including;
· General records management (as per the State Records Act 2000)
· Review of the Shire’s Record Keeping Plan
· Underpinning the Shire’s productivity through implementing effective information management procedures and processes
· Drive the effective use of current and new software packages as they are implemented
· Researching and processing Freedom of Information requests
· Administration, maintenance, conservation and disposal of the Shire’s corporate information
· Administration of the operations of the Shire’s cemetery
About you: Ideally, you will be experienced in information management or have strong administration experience and a willingness to learn (there is great training available for the right candidate). The role requires you to be independent, self-directed, organised and able to prioritise your work. To be successful in the role you will enjoy engaging with our diverse workforce and supporting them in efficiently and effectively managing their records and workflows. There is a research component to this role, which requires the ability to research and collate information when responding to Freedom of Information requests, and in developing procedures to improve business processes. The IMO operates within a very structured compliance environment and you will need to be comfortable working with legislation and regulations relevant to government. A key requriement will be your ability to maintain the confidentiality, security and integrity of all information processed.
What we offer: This position is classified as a Level 6/7 (depending on qualifications and experience) under the Shire of Exmouth Enterprise Agreement 2017, and comes with the following remuneration benefits;
· Base salary of $73,250 to $76,748 per annum
· Housing allowance of $5,000 p/a
· Location Allowance of $1,955 p/a
· Up to 21.5% superannuation (includes co-contribution by you)
· Regular RDOs and 5-weeks of annual leave
· Eligibility for pro rata long service leave after 7 years of service (conditions apply)
· Uniform allowance
· Access to the Shire’s employee assistance program and other wellbeing services.
