About the business and the role

The business is a family general practice caring for patients of a wide cultural background. Located in Strathfield close to the railway station and bus terminal. It is a bulk billing practice with pathology and other allied health services on site. The practice is accredited with AGPAL and maintains high standards of primary care.

A professional and compassionate attitude is also required. Reporting to the Practice Manager you will become a part of a friendly team working together to provide a high standard of care. Full training is provided for the right candidate. The practice is open from 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday, Saturday 8am to 2pm with full time and part time shifts available and the flexibility for additional shifts including weekends and holiday cover. An immediate start is available for the right candidate.

Job tasks and responsibilities

Duties include

General organisation of Front Desk

Answering Telephone

Scheduling patients appointments

Meet and greet patients

Processing patients accounts

Maintaining patients records

Providing administrative support to medical practitioners and management

Maintain a recall system

Ensure accreditation standards are maintained

Ensure surgery is clean and tidy at all times

Skills and experience

Previous experience essential

Excellent computer literacy (Pracsoft and Medical Director)

Excellent presentation and Phone manner

Highly organised

An eye for attention to detail

Excellent customer service skills

Ability to multi task

Excellent English both verbal and non-verbal skills

Reliable and punctual

Knowledge of Medicare Veteran's Affairs and Worker's Compensation billing methods an advantage

Ability to work as a contributing team member and independently as required
