Accounts/Casual Receptionist/Chiropractic Assistant
20-38 Hours per week
Fulltime/ part time options.
We are looking for an outgoing, experienced, versatile and adaptable person to fill this position. We are a small Chiropractic team focused on excellent outcomes for our clients and a happy work environment for our staff.
Ideally you will have a strong interest in health and wellbeing, and love enjoy working closely with people.
You will be a quick learner, able to cope well under pressure and willing to be flexible with work hours, which will include early mornings and late evenings, Monday to Friday and holiday support.
The position involves general reception duties such as answering phone, managing patient flow, booking appointments and taking payments, all in a timely manner. It also includes managing our accounting records.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Patient Reception
Answering phones, making and managing appointments
Accurately preparing a receipting client accounts including cash
Communicating with Chiropractors
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date client records, including typing notes
Maintaining a safe and presentable clinic and waiting room
Maintenance of Accounting Records including inputting data into QuickBooks
Other administrative duties as required
The successful applicant will:
Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Have the ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality
Be well-presented and professional at all times
Have previous experience in accounts and reception roles, or similar administrative position (minimum 2 years experience)
Have a clear understanding of accounting principles and practice and experience with QuickBooks preferred
Have the ability to multitask, work independently, as part of a team and take the initiative to problem solve
Show high attention to detail and possess strong organisational skills
Have experience using PracSuite Patient Management Software, or similar software (preferred)
Have experience with electronic billing, receipting, invoicing and Medicare and health fund payments
Be proficient and accurate with computer operation and typing
Basic book keeping and understanding of managing stock and expenses (preferred)
be able to be on your feet throughout the day.
