About the Opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the HARTSS team as a Team Leader, where you will be responsible for:

  • Leading the clinical and operational management of multidisciplinary youth health services aligned with the Metropolitan Youth Health Model of Care
  • Driving the development and implementation of contemporary health care practices
  • Enhancing service access and outcomes by working in partnership with young people, families, and relevant agencies
  • Providing professional and clinical leadership to allied health staff, students, Aboriginal health workers, midwives, nurses, and medical staff
  • Ensuring compliance with organisational safety and quality standards
  • Supporting service planning, evaluation, reporting, and continuous improvement as part of the Operational Leadership and Management team

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers
  • Demonstrated high level of ability and professional expertise to relate to and work with young people and their families, who come from diverse social backgrounds related to socio–economic status, race, culture, sexual orientation, abilities, religion, and including those who face a range of complex issues.
  • Advanced interpersonal, communication and conflict management skills, including the ability to foster productive working relationships across disciplines, contribute positively in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
  • Advanced ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with people from a broad range of backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated ability to undertake the review of processes, practice and systems to ensure high level quality and prioritise actions for improvement.
  • Provision of specialist assessment, case planning and health care services within a case management approach to young people with complex needs. Health care services include engagement, psychosocial support, referral and advocacy, and follow-up.
  • Planning, facilitation, evaluation and delivery of specialist group-based projects for young people who present with complex or high risk problems.
