Medical Receptionist / Administrator for Community Nursing Services.

Are you looking for a change and want to step out of the hospital/GP setting?

As a premiere provider of personalised in-home aged care, disability support and recovery care, we provide community nursing services and individual support, supporting our clients to live their life, their way.

Absolute Care & Health is looking for an experienced ward clerk, medical receptionist or similarly skilled individual to join our dynamic team and help further grow our in-home community nursing service.

We firmly believe it's the close-knit team of people at Absolute that makes us stand out from the rest. We look for people who share our values and whose actions and attitudes demonstrate a commitment to thinking differently; to using initiative, innovation and inquisitiveness to create tailored support outside the traditional square.

We value a sense of belonging and believe in bringing people together as one Absolute family. Our culture of care is focused as much on our team as on our clients so that those who work for Absolute also have truly great experiences in their roles, every day.

The Opportunity:

This is a great opportunity to work in a fast-paced team environment where no two days are the same. You’ll play a key part in enabling vulnerable individuals to remain safely and comfortably in their own homes while receiving services that are often delivered across both privately funded and government-funded Home Care Programs.

Main Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
• Act as the first point of contact for the case management team and Private, Home Care Program clients and manage calls accordingly.
• Establish and maintain client schedules, ensuring all scheduled visits are appropriately covered with suitably skilled staff.
• Receive and manage new client referrals.
• Maintain accurate client records and ensure service delivery reports are provided where requested.
• Effectively escalate clinical issues to the nursing team for review and management.
• Support care staff with transparent communication, providing feedback to ensure they are informed of any client issues.

Our ideal candidate:
• Has strong commitment to the delivery of client centred care.
• Has excellent time management and organisation skills.
• Can juggle multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
• Communicates effectively and confidently with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Is reliable, punctual, committed and has a strong work ethic.
• Has a positive attitude with fresh ideas.
• Has the ability to work as part of a team and independently.
• Is available to work shifts that occur on any day of the week and that will be between the hours of 6:00am and 7:00pm.
• Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to continuous improvement
• Has completed studies in Health administration or would be willing to do so.

Perks & Benefits:
• Flexible hours and some work-from-home options to support work-life balance.
• Regular team events, wellness initiatives, and recognition for your contributions.
• Be part of a dynamic, supportive, and close-knit team that genuinely cares about its members.

We are looking for people who are genuinely excited about the opportunity. We’re not looking for robots—so show us your personality! Please include your responses to the following questions in your cover letter.
• What does a great team culture mean to you?
