If you're tired of being dragged into meetings that go nowhere, quoting deals that never close, or working for a company that talks big but delivers small this will be a refreshing change.

This business is a multifaceted powerhouse delivering some of Australia’s smartest electrical, AV, and tech infrastructure projects for builder and corporate clients.

They are already a big player in the national AV space. They just need someone like you to take the lead on new projects. There’s a strong pipeline, work with blue-chip corporates and government, and a sales leader ready to hand you the reins.

You're not just shaking hands and promising follow-ups. You're owning the AV sales cycle from quoting $20K Teams rooms to million-dollar rollouts with national builders. If it’s under $100K, you’ll be expected to scope and quote it. If it's more complex, senior technical support is there when you need it.

Melbourne is home base, but this role can sit in Sydney or Brisbane too. Flexible working? Absolutely. But you’ll also need to be where the deals are whether that’s on site with a builder in Parramatta or walking a client through their AV upgrade in Perth.

You’ll be selling to two streams:

  1. Builders - targeting construction and estimating managers, getting in early via ECI
  2. Direct clients - often through IT managers, with solid support from Tier 1 vendors

The business is agile, delivery-focused and ISO-rated. You’ll compete with big names, but with less red tape and faster decision-making. AV is just one part of a broader electrical and tech capability, so there’s plenty of room to cross-sell and expand accounts.

Here’s the deal:

  • $130K base + super
  • $17.5K vehicle allowance + $10/week phone/data
  • Commission: 5% net on existing clients, 10% net on new
  • Target OTE: $170K–$250K (Year 1 $170K, Year 2 $200-250K)
  • Tools of trade, laptop, mobile etc...all sorted

Ideal candidate? You’re already in AV. You’ve quoted, scoped, chased, closed and want to do more of it, with more control, less red tape, and better reward. You might be stuck under a slow-moving sales manager or just ready to go national.

You will have a solid track record in Sales and Business Development within the Audio Visual (AV) industry.

You’ll be joining a relaxed, collaborative team where results matter more than rigid KPIs. No one’s looking over your shoulder - but they’re always in your corner if you need them. You will report directly to the National AV Manager who is approachable and with a good sense of humour. This role is newly created due to organic growth.
