The Opportunity:

Our client is a Western Australian owned family run business that operates across Civils, Bulk Earthworks, MRWA Infrastructure projects across Perth and surrounding metro areas.
We are seeking a Senior Estimator who is looking for a Perth based opportunity with occasional site travel as and when required.

The Senior Estimator will help deliver multiple projects across the Perth and surrounding metro areas, mainly bulk earthworks, roads and major infrastructure works, land development and subdivisions. Our client has a strong project pipeline of ongoing projects as well as new projects ready to start and tender for.

You must be either and Australia Citizen, or Permanent Resident of Australia to be considered for this position, we are not offering sponsorship!

The Requirements:

• Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, QS or equivalent with experience on large bulk earthworks, subdivisions, MRWA projects from $5m - $70m
• Analyse and prepare tender estimates, budget estimates and other cost related proposals in a timely manner working closely with client leaders, key stakeholders, and internal senior management
• Relevant on-site industry experience in the civil construction industry with a strong understanding of trades and disciplines in FRP or Earthworks
• Coordinating procurement of all materials relevant to the project in line with set budgets and requests
• Prepare "first principles" estimates from scratch, build-ups, cost models, and rate calculations
• Develop and review tenders and proposals for quality, risk, accuracy, and completeness, responding quickly to correct problems
• Assist key stakeholders on tender preparation and submissions
• A pro-active, can-do attitude and the ability to hit the ground running is essential for this role
