SMP Estimator - Perth, WA

Our client, a leading Cost Consultancy firm based in Perth, is dedicated to delivering top-tier cost management services while fostering a stable, dynamic, and fulfilling work environment for our team. The client has been successfully servicing the Mining, Infrastructure, Oil and Gas sectors for over two decades.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Take charge of delivering top-tier quantity surveying and estimating services that exceed client expectations

Be the key liaison between clients, consultants, and internal teams

Play a critical role in Basis of Estimate reporting and cost assessments

Proactively identify cost risks or contractual concerns

Own your work and set a high standard of delivery

Support and develop junior team members to strengthen overall team capability

Manage project hours effectively and ensure budget adherence

Ensure every deliverable meets our rigorous standards and procedures

Provide valuable input on claims, contracts, and commercial advice

Help shape successful project delivery through strategic planning and close-out facilitation

Ensure only high-quality, thoroughly reviewed documents are submitted to clients

The successful candidate will possess the following:

• An Engineering or similar degree qualification
• 7+ years' experience
• Previous estimating experience would be advantageous
• Strong capabilities in cost planning, measurement, contract management, and leadership, particularly in senior roles
• A comprehensive understanding of construction processes, materials, pricing, and the industry as a whole
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office and Estimating Software (required), with experience in Planning and Scheduling software being an added advantage
• Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
• Strong ability to organize, plan, and implement strategies effectively
• A keen eye for detail and strong analytical skills
• A collaborative team player, capable of building positive relationships and providing support to colleagues when necessary
