A leading healthcare group is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Accounts Payable Officer to join their finance team in South Brisbane. This is a fantastic opportunity for an AP professional to take on a key role in a dynamic and supportive environment.

As a senior member of the Accounts Payable team, you will be responsible for end-to-end AP processes, high-volume invoice processing, payments, and reconciliations across multiple business entities. You will also provide guidance and support to junior AP staff and contribute to process improvement initiatives.

After training, enjoy a hybrid work arrangement: 3 days in-office, 2 days WFH.

Key Responsibilities

• Process high volumes of PO and non-PO invoices across multiple entities
• Ensure compliance with tax laws, company policies, and contractual obligations
• Prepare general journals and inter-entity charges
• Raise and process sales invoices (internal and external)
• Execute weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc payment runs
• Review and process staff reimbursements and expenses
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies
• Provide remittance advice to suppliers
• Collaborate with vendors and internal departments to ensure smooth AP operations
• Support junior and general AP team members
• Assist with finance projects and ad-hoc administrative tasks

About You:

• Several years experience in Accounts Payable roles
• Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Demonstrated initiative in process improvement and best practices
